The Big White Veil Mistake is a proof-of-concept short film written, directed, and edited by Bridget Wixted. The film tells the story of a failed writer who must write the maid of honor speech for her sister’s upcoming wedding, despite a hysterically intense hatred she harbors for the groom. The film’s script won Best Student Script at the 2022 Script Awards Los Angeles, and Best Genre Script at the 2022 Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards. It was a Finalist at the Central Florida Cinefest for Best Short Screenplay, a Finalist at the Lit Laughs International Comedy Film Festival for Best Short Comedy Screenplay as well as a Quarter-Finalist at the Boston Horror Comedy Film Festival for Best Short Screenplay. The film is currently in post production, and will be submitted to film festivals in 2023.
